REMEMBERING 2007
As we close the year 2007, we as a Ministry want to Thank God for all the prayers that have been answered both from those who have requested prayers over the internet and those who have come in the store to sign in our book. Our prayer is that we continue to do His will for this ministry in 2008.

As we begin this new year of 2008 I am happy to report that our Officers are the same as 2007. We have unanimously added Ruben and Cecilia Rodriguez to the Board of Directors. We look forward to the help and insights they will give to the ministry. They have their heart here in the ministry and pray for all the intentions daily. We are very grateful for their acceptance of this position.

We are very sorry to see our Web Master leave us. Julee Davis has been such a great friend and has gotten our web site up and running; however, she needs time for her family and has to make some choices so we regretfully had to make that change. This ministry believes in family first so we have no problem with her needing time to home school her children and have time for herself as well. We will always be very grateful for all she has done for us.

One of the saddest events of 2007 was the passing to eternity of our very dear friend Father Paul LaRocque. He will be missed but we know that he is interceding for us from his heavenly home.

One of the highlights of 2007 was our pilgrimage with Father Ray Ratzinberger that started in Portugal and ended in Rome with an audience with the Holy Father. That was exciting as well as our visit with Father Jose Luis and Father Steve Watson who live and work in Rome.

The prayer ministry was very active during the entire year with special healings including physical (especially in Joey Garcia, a Board member and volunteer here in the store). Her story will be in a future newsletter. We have two young ladies that have been counseled and are doing very well from the effects of abuse. A young lady from Salt Lake City is being released from a mental hospital through the intercession of this ministry and Father David. We have people coming in to tell us the prayers that are answered because of our prayer request book here in the store as well as the ones that request prayers over the internet and individually of the ministry.

We were very happy to have a visit from one of our prayer partners that moved to Corpus Christi for a few days. Monica Moreno is always united to us in prayer and an extension of the ministry in Texas as well praying and interceding for all that is asked of her there as well as here.

Our main focus for 2008 will be to continue to focus on a larger place for the ministry. We have tentatively planned a Healing of Memories program and mass which will accommodate a few people but with a larger center we can do these things on an ongoing basis. We still have First Friday mass with Father Godfrey which adds so much to our prayers for all who request them.

We are praying that the big Cruise for 2008 will bring in the necessary funds to accomplish this in 2008. If we cannot buy a bigger place, we might find one to rent so that we can provide more services to our community.

I wish all of you a VERY BLESSED NEW YEAR. As we pray for you, please keep us in your prayers as well.

Gayle
