Itinerary:

Saturday, August 28:  Depart Tucson and fly to Tel Aviv.

Sunday, August 29: Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport. Assistance and transfer to hotel in Tel Aviv. Dinner and overnight in Tel Aviv at the Marina Hotel.

Monday, August 30:  Buffet breakfast. Depart to Jaffa. Visit the Church of St. Peter, the old city remains.  Travel the coast road to Caesarea and visit the Roman Theatre and the Aqueduct. Arrive in Haifa, First Port of Israel. View the Bahai Temple and the New Gardens. Visit Stella Maria Church and celebrate Mass on Mt. Carmel.  After lunch we travel to Upper Galilee via Acre. View of the Ruins of the Ancient Crusade City and the Harbor. Proceed to the Kibbutz. Dinner and Overnight – Hagoshrim Kibbutz Hotel in the Upper Galilee.

Tuesday, August 31: Buffet breakfast. Visit and explanation of a Kibbutz community Life. Visit the Golan Heights, passing throughout the Druses Villages. Visit Banias or Caeasarea de Philippo. From there to Cafarnaum and visit the ancient Synagogue where Jesus was praying. Mass at 12:30 at the Octagonal Church that belongs to the Franciscans. It is built on the top of St. Peter’s house. Boat ride over the Sea of Galilee. Lunch of St. Peter’s Fish. Visit the Ancient Boat that could well have been the one Jesus sailed in. Drive to Cana of Galilee where the Wedding at Cana took place and the first miracle of Jesus. Opportunity for married couples to renew their vows. Return to Tiberius for Dinner and overnight.

Sea of Galilee October 2009Wednesday, September 1: Buffet Breakfast. Depart to Tabgha, place of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes. Visit the Church of the Primate of Peter. The Mount of Beatitudes, place of the Sermon of the Mount and celebrate Mass. In the afternoon we drive to Mount Tabor, visit the Church of the Transfiguration. Dinner and overnight at the Royal Plaza Hotel in Tiberius.

Thursday, September 2: Buffet Breakfast. Depart to Nazareth. Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and celebrate Mass. Visit the Church of Saint Joseph’s. Drive to Yardenit, place of the Baptism on the Jordan River. Return to Tiberius. Dinner and overnight.

Friday, September 3:  Buffet breakfast. Travel to Beith Shean  Visit the Excavations via Jerico (sight of the Old City which now belongs to the Palestinian authorities). Sight of the Mt. of Temptations. Drive throughout the Jordan Valley and the Judean Hills to Jerusalem. Panorama view of Jerusalem from the Mt. of Scopus. Mass at  the Franciscan Cenacle. See model city of Jerusalem at Holy Land.. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem at the Moriah Garden Hotel.

Saturday, September 4:  Buffet breakfast. Visit the Mt. of Olives site of the Assention and visit Pater Noster, Dominus Flevit the Church of all Nations. Mass at  Gethsemane Garden. From there we drive to Bethlehem. Visit the Church of the Nativity, the Caves of St. Joseph’s, St. Jerome, and the Cave of the Nativity. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Sunday, September 5: Buffet breakfast. Depart to the Massada Fortress.  Visit King Herods Fortress on the top of the mountain Qumran. Visit the site where they found the Dead Sea Scrolls. After lunch free time to enjoy the salt water of the Dead Sea.  Return to Jerusalem.  Dinner and overnight.

Monday, September 6: Buffet breakfast. Enter the Old City. Visit the temple Mount, the Western Wall and the tunnel at the basis of the Western wall, view the Mosques of Al Aqsa and Omar, the Fortress Augusta, Bethesda Pool Via Dolorosa from the Flagellation church, the Lithostrotos to the Holy Sepulche and celebrate Mass. Mass. Visit Mt. Sion: Last Supper Room, Dormition Abbey, and King David’s Tomb. Visit Saint Peter in Gallicantu, Jesus’s path to Court. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Tuesday, September 7:  Buffet breakfast. Depart hotel to visit any site missed because of schedule then to the Holocaust Museum in Yad Veshem. Farewell lunch at Kislasy Restaurant Yad Vashem. After lunch visit  Ein Karem, the Church of St. John Baptist, the Church of the Visitation and celebrate our farewell Mass.
Transfer to the airport and return to the USA with memories to last a lifetime.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
A booking may be canceled but must be made in writing by either party. This pilgrimage has a minimum number of 20 pilgrims. Refunds are returned upon the booking of another person to replace the refundable person

JMJ Pilgrimages acts only in the capacity of agents for the Airline and the Land Operator in all matters pertaining to Hotel Accommodations, sightseeing tours and transportation, whether by air, railroad, motor coach, motor car, steamship, boat or any other means and, as such, holds no responsibility for any damage(s) from any cause(s) whatsoever. JMJ Pilgrimages will not be responsible for any damage, expense or inconvenience caused by the air, rail, ship, boat or bus arrivals or departures or by any change in schedule or their conditions; baggage or any article belonging to the passenger. The right is also reserved to decline to accept or retain any person traveling under our auspices. The concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers are not on board their plane or conveyance, or in the car, limousine or bus of ground transportation operators, or in the premises of hotels, pensions or other places of accommodation. The passenger contract used by the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers and the purchasers of this tour and/or the passenger. JMJ Pilgrimages is not responsible for any and all funds paid to the airline and/or land operator on behalf of the passenger which are the subject of refund, dispute, insolvency or any other reason whatsoever. The undersigned will indemnify and hold harmless JMJ Ministries from any and all liability whatsoever, including attorney’s fees and costs, from any claims by anyone.
