FULL ITINERARY

Sunday. May 9, 2010: Depart USA for Poland

Monday, May 10: Arrive in Warsaw and meet English speaking tour escort and transfer to hotel. We then have half a day city tour and Welcome Mass.  Relax then welcome dinner with wine in a local restaurant,  Overnight in Warsaw.

Tuesday, May 11: WARSAW—SWINICE WARCKIE—CZESTOCHOWA/KRAKOW - After breakfast, we depart for Poland’s greatest pilgrimage shrine, Our Lady of Czestochowa. Legend tells us that St. Luke the Evangelist painted the Black Madonna picture. En route we stop at Swinice Warckie Shrine. Continue on to Pope John Paul II favorite pilgrimage destination. Jasna Gora Monastery  where he asked the Mother of God, Queen of Poland to protect Poland and the universal Church. We celebrate Holy Mass at the Pauline Monastery and view the priceless treasures, including the miraculous Icon. Overnight Czestochowa.

Wednesday, May 12: CZESTOCHOWA—WADOWICE– KRAKOW - We leave the hotel at 6:00 AM to Jasna Gora Monastery to participate in the ceremony of unveiling of the Black Madonna Icon. After breakfast leave for Salt Mines and have lunch. Visit Wadowice and birthplace of KAROL WOJTYLA, (Pope John Paul). Visit house where he was born which is now a shrine/museum,. We stop at the atrocious former Nazi concentration Camp of Auschwitz, where we also see the cell of St. Maximilian Kolbe. Overnight Krakow.

Thursday, May 13: KRAKOW - Visit St. Mary’s Church and hear the silver trumpet of the bugler from the tower and see the extraordinary Wit Stwosz altar. Explore the square which has remained unchanged for almost 700 years including the Cathedral, Coronation chapel and royal Chambers. St. Stanislaus Shrine, which contains the silver coffin of Poland's patron saint. We visit Lagiewniki, the Shrine of Divine Mercy.. It was here that originated the message of the Divine Mercy which Christ Himself wished to pass on to our generation through the mediation of St. Faustina. We visit St. Faustina’s convent chapel, and her tomb where we have a guided tour of the Divine Mercy Center by one of the sisters. Here we celebrate Mass. Overnight Krakow.

Friday, May 14:  KRAKOW—PRAGUE  - Depart this morning for Czech Republic. Enroute visit Olomouc to see the Pilgrimage Shrine of the Visitation where we celebrate Mass, followed by lunch and time in the Market Square to see the UNESCO protected Trinity Column. Overnight Prague.

Saturday May 15: PRAGUE - The full day visit of Prague includes a visit to the Shrine of Loretto, then on to Prague Castle and the Mala Strana with its beautiful buildings and architectural detail. We see the church of St. Nicholas the Lesser and Our Lady of the Victorius where we see the Infant of Prague and where we celebrate Mass. In the afternoon we have some free time to see the Old Town and take pictures at the Charles Bridge. Overnight Prague. Tonight you can sample local food as we have dinner on your own.

Sunday,  May 16: KRAKOW—REGENSBURG—ALTOETTING - After breakfast depart for Germany and the lovely historic city to Regensburg. We enjoy a walking tour through the historic city center. Visit the Dome of Greensburg and the university where Cardinal Ratzinger worked as Professor. Take part in a festive Mass in the dome. We stop in Markalt Am Inn to see where Pope Benedict was born and baptized before arriving Altoetting. Overnight.

Monday. May 17: ALTOETTING—OBERAMMERGAU - This morning we celebrate Mass at the Church of Our Lady and tour this small town which is the main Marian Shrine in Germany, the home of the Black Madonna of Altoetting.  Pope Benedict calls it "the heart of Bavaria and one of the hearts of Europe". In 1489 a grieving mother laid her drowned 3 yr. old child at the foot of the statue and the child was brought back to life. We visit the chapel of the Miracles, the Church of Our Lady, Holy Land Panoroma and St. Conrad’s Monastery. We then depart for short drive into Austrai and lovely city of Salzburg. Overnight Oberammergau area.

Passion PlayTuesday May 18: THE PASSION PLAY - In the morning free time for shopping and visit Museum. After lunch we enjoy the highlight of your trip, an experience of a lifetime will be today’s Passion Play. Started 367 years ago, it is still an authentic portrayal depicting the last week of the life of  Christ. The play runs from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM with a two hour break for dinner. Overnight in Oberammergau area.

Wednesday, May 19: BAVARIAN HIGHLIGHTS—MUNICH - Depart early this morning (8:00 AM) following breakfast to Weiss Kirche A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF BAROQUE ARCHITECTURE AND THE ON TO Linderhof Castle, and gardens before continuing to Munich where we have walking tour and FAREWELL DINNER WITH WINE IN A TYPICAL GERMAN RESTAURANT. Munich for overnight.

Thursday May 20: Return to USA with a ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE.

A booking may be canceled but must be made in writing by either party. This pilgrimage has a minimum number of 35 pilgrims. THIS TRIP HAS A $1,000.00 PER PERSON NON-REFUNDABLE FEE. TRIP INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE. If timely, refund can be returned upon the booking of another person to replace the refundable person.

RESPONSIBILITY: JMJ Ministries acts only in the capacity of agents for the Airline and the Land Operator in all matters pertaining to Hotel Accommodations, sightseeing tours and transportation whether by air, railroad, motor coach, motor car, steamship, boat or any other means and, as such, holds no responsibility for any damage(s) from any cause(s) whatsoever. JMJ Ministries will not be responsible for any damage, expense or inconvenience caused by the air, rail, ship, boat or bus arrivals or departures or by any change in schedule or their conditions; baggage or any article belonging to the passenger. The right is also reserved to decline to accept or retain any person traveling under our auspices.
